fabulousity (the canadian version)

Picture 16

Fabulous people aren’t born …we’re made. Being fabulous is a combination of drive and dive-in mentality. Another important component to fabulousity is staying true to self, and being a creative spirit. There’s technical skill and then there’s intrinsic ability. Intrinsic ability is also a requirement of fabulousity.

It’s also possible to lose your fabulousity title due to life events, but having the gumption to re-gain them is imperative. It’s not about perfection it’s about progress. Progressively rise and shine you fabulous few …it’s not your right, it’s your privilege. Treat it as such, but own it. Blow random kisses to onlookers. Hell, throw in a princess wave (women need only apply to this), and on extra special occasions, sport a tiara. Sparkle is in, and fabulousity is always vogue.

Recipe to creating fabulousity:

1 part attitude (a good one)
1 part talent
.25 parts narcissism
2 parts pose (not poser)
Bake it until you make it

Easy going …going gone!

Picture 15

I once dated this dude who declared himself as “easy going”, but the problem was, is that it was an excuse to be “checked out”. Void of life. He was so easy going that he was mentally gone. No passion and little drive beyond the necessary. Fresh thinking was not his forte. Don’t get me wrong, he would be listed under the “nicest guy ever” category, but what’s “nice” without “spice”? A really bland Christmas cookie in my estimation.

I think being easy going as a general concept is an important trait for sure, no one likes a high strung control freak, but obviously there’s a happy medium and no one needs to pull from either extreme.

What is my point? Basically not to use a term such as “easy going” as an all access pass to a life of lifelessness. To know the difference between easy going, and gone. To embrace the living and shed the dead. As I’ve said before and I’ll say over and over again …the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference. Over the top easy going sorts are simply indifferent. It’s not that they’re really easy to get along with, it’s just that they don’t care.

I say pass on that. And I did ☺
