I recently watched a little old movie called Yes Man, and it had me screaming yes, yes, YESSSSSSSS! What a simple yet novel idea to change your life simply by being OPEN to that which is presented to you, and saying YES to life.

With Valentines quickly approaching, many singles are cringing at the thought of naked, winged babies passing them by, and another year non-struck by love. With the “no” epidemic that flows through Vancouvers’ veins, perhaps cupid would be more willing to strike if the entire lower mainland wasn’t heavily guarded with shields and various forms of “no” body armor.

Put your guard down people. Get out of your own head, kill the all-consuming vanity insanity and the next time “geeky guy” says hello – SAY HI BACK! The next time the chubby girl asks for a date…grab a coffee! These are the beginnings of an end to insecurity and complacency, and the start of what could be your brand new life. True story.

When it comes to drugs – just say no, clearly. When it comes to life and all the experiences it offers – say yes, yes, YESSSSSSSS!

In the past we’ve been given the name “no fun Vancouver”…the truth of the matter is – you make your own fun! More importantly, you have to be open to various types of fun and make every outing an adventure!

Right now with the 2010 Olympics going on, there are so many free fun things to do around town. In addition, with Vancouver being the amazing city it is (can I hear an “amen”?!)…there is plenty to see, do, and experience!
